Santa Ahri
I've been crammed recently with studio work, running 10-11 hour shifts. Really trying to do what i can to assist in releasing our projects ASAP. Though after work, i'm trying to push towards working on the Polycount Riot Contest that's come up. I will be approaching a Santa Themed Ahri! :D Hope all goes well, and good luck to all the others that're participating. For now, he's a thumbnail i began.

productive breaks.
So after grad and my little vacation, the question i've been asked alot is "have ya got a job yet?"
the answer in simple terms, no.
Though this doesnt mean i've lost motivation and went in an unproductive state! i've been doing freelance work for an upcoming mobile game. Though this leads me to the title of this post.
Productive Breaks!
When working in general, i've created myself a habit to taking what i like to call "productive breaks". This means i'm taking a break from a continuous stream of work, Though this break doesn't consist of playing a video game. As it consists of the word "productive", i do something related to improving my work but as a break. I developed this habit after my realization during school that i needed to focus harder.
For example: I'll be in Maya/Max for like 8 hours straight, and i decided to take a break. My break might consist of me doing a painting for an hour. This allows me to get back to the work having a different perspective in it, noticing errors that i didn't notice previously since i was working hours on straight.
Here's a sketch i started on one of my recent breaks:

painting for the day is done! i've been planning to create a new portfoliio piece recently. I found the perfect concept to work with this time so the workflow should be pretty steady with less bumps :) progress images will be uploaded as i begin to work on it.

Ngov3D
so i'm near graduation (2 weeks) , getting my website and stuff ready so i decided to rename my links and usernames to something more..professional? i was going to go for ArtbyTravis but i asked around and got alot of input , it was quite even whether to us an N at the end or not but then a friend of mines really discussed how important the name of an artist is so i decided to just go with Ngov3D. So soon my website will be up, inlcuding a demo reel, traditional work, etc.
